TAKE ONE ACTION
Take One Action returns with a diverse range of films dedicated to active global citizenship. The festival celebrates Scotland's global connections – from Malawi to Pakistan – and explores global challenges in which Scotland has a vital role to play.
All screenings will be accompanied by activities, resources and advice designed to support and encourage learning and projects in class.

NATIONAL SCHOOLS FILM WEEK
November 1 - 5 2010
National Schools Film Week (NSFW) provides teachers and their students the opportunity to see a wide range of films at local cinemas entirely free-of-charge.
Many of the GFT screenings come with free online resources and introductions related to the outcomes and experiences of the Curriculum for Excellence.
PRINCESS LILLIFEE

In the enchanted kingdom of Pinkovia, the fairy Princess Lillifee rules with a magic hand, creating beauty and good will wherever she travels. The amazing story of a Kurdish boy, living in Turkey, who goes to be with his father in the Netherlands, where he works as a foreign labourer. When the father hears of the War on Kurds he decides to take his whole family to live with him. Out of protest the boy decides not to speak to anyone.
KIRIKOU AND THE WILD BEASTS

A West African fairytale. Kirikou's Grandfather says that the story of Kirikou and the Witch was too short, so he proceeds to explain more about Kirikou's accomplishments. We find out how the little boy became a gardener, a detective, and a maker of pottery, a merchant, a traveller and a doctor.
