Cafe Cosmo

GFT's Café/Bar is one of the most relaxed and welcoming in Glasgow. It's one of the most popular meeting places in the city centre with its own unique buzz thats hard to find anywhere else.

Café Cosmo is open to everyone - relax in our stylish cafe-bar and enjoy a fine glass of wine from Inverarity One to One, or perhaps a coffee, cake, or maybe a light lunch from a selection of home-made soups, salads or sandwiches. All our screens are licensed so you can enjoy your drink while you watch!

Opening hours

Café Cosmo is open daily.

Sunday to Friday 12 noon to 9pm.
Saturday 11am to 9pm

Food

Soup, sandwiches and snacks served until 5.00. After the kitchen closes you can enjoy a tasty platter of houmous or pâté until 7. A range of teas and coffees are available throughout the day.

Take your drinks into the cinema – just ask for an appropriate container.

Cinema Paradise

The Guardian (17 June) picks the Glasgow Film Theatre as one of the best film venues in Britain. Under the Best for Food column, it says: “Chill with Glasgow’s grooviest at Café Cosmo inside the GFT’s lovely art deco building. Strictly a soup, sandwiches and snacks joint, it has built up such a reputation that non-filmgoers hang out there too.”
